OIL SPILL ISSUE FOR MWUA INSUREDS All claims are fact-specific, so each claim presented is individually adjusted in accordance with the terms of the policy. The MWUA policy is a named peril policy that provides insurance for direct physical loss at the insured location. To be covered, the direct physical loss must be caused by windstorm and/or hail. The MWUA policy excludes direct physical loss caused directly or indirectly by water, including flooding, storm or tidal surge, surface water, waves, tidal water or tidal waves, overflow of any body of water, or spray from any water, all whether driven by the wind or not.
