WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE DESIRED RETROFIT ITEMS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED?

     1. Once the necessary or desired improvements have been completed the insured must submit a request for inspection along with a non-refundable inspection fee of $250 including the pre-inspection check list of what items have been completed to the Mississippi Windstorm Underwriting Association (MWUA) at the following address:

MWUA
Attn. MWUA Retrofit
P.O. Box 5389
Jackson, MS 39296-5389

     2. Once all necessary information and inspection fee has been received. The request is sent to an approved certified inspector to conduct an on site inspection.

     3. The inspector will contact the insured and set up a time to visit the location and perform the inspection. A copy of the inspection report will be provided the insured and MWUA.

     4. If the inspection indicates that the retrofit mitigation items have been completed correctly the insured will receive appropriate credit for that level of retrofit mitigation. Credits will be effective the date the request for inspection and full inspection fee was received in the office of MWUA.

     5. If the inspection indicates that the retrofit mitigation items were not completed or done correctly the insured will be allowed up to two months to make the necessary corrections. Once these corrections have been completed the insured must request a reinspection. This reinspection will be done at no additional cost. If this reinspection finds the retrofit mitigation items still not properly completed, the inspection process will then start over with the insured making a request to MWUA along with the non-refundable inspection fee of $250.
